A loan of $250 helped increase data storage capacity of computers in her internet cafe.

Melisa's story

Melisa is 21 years old, a single mother, and lives with her daughter in her parents' house. Her business is a local shop two blocks from her house. She worked for 2 years at a mining business as a secretary. Eight months ago, she started her own internet cafe and call center. It has been going well so far because her neighborhood does not have much competition, making it a very profitable business. She appreciates her job and would like to support students who require books for their school subjects. She recently installed a telephone booth in order to attract more customers. This is her first loan with MFP. The requested money is her opportunity to increase the data storage capacity of her computers so that they function at higher speeds.
