Digna Elizabeth's story

Digna is a member of the credit group "Mujeres Floreciendo". She lives in the community of Paccha in Cuenca. The people in this community are said to be hard-working, the major part of the people work in animal husbandry and many people work in different activities in the city.

Digna likes her group because of the solidarity and friendship among all the members. They always share their experiences.

Digna is 27 years old. She is married and the couple have two beautiful girls, who are 9 years and 3 years old. The oldest daughter attends a small school in the neighborhood and her husband works as a private employee. They live in their own house.

At the weekends, Digna bakes bread for selling, and during the week she takes care of her household and raises chickens and guinea pigs and she also has cattle and sells the milk. She spends a part of her time studying, because she goes to university.

She will invest the money from her loan in the purchase of chickens, guinea pigs, and supplies to bake bread. Her goal is to get her degree and become a renowned professional.
