A loan of $800 helped to buy thread, needles, flour, corn, seasoning propane gas, tomatoes, cabbage, tortillas with cream cheese filling, pork and drinks.

Blanca Noemi's story

Blanca makes a living selling "pupusas" (a thick corn tortilla stuffed with cheese, fried pork rind, chicken, or refried beans) and making hammocks. Blanca works every day: in the morning she makes the hammocks, and in the afternoons she sells the "pupusas". Blanca lives with her husband and three children, aged 15, 13 and 11 years old respectively.

Blanca will use this loan to strengthen her business, buying supplies for both the hammocks and "pupusas". She will buy thread, needles, flour, corn, seasoning propane gas, tomatoes, cabbage, tortillas with cream cheese filling, pork and drinks. These items will be useful as she fulfils customer orders and improves customer service. Blanca hopes to earn back her investment in profit.

Blanca's dreams are to help her children to have a university education and to build a new house so that the family may live more comfortably.
