A loan of $1,500 helped to buy compost, fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, concentrated feeds, vitamins, and chickens to fatten.

Maria Santos's story

Maria works every day to give her family what is necessary to get ahead. She is married and is the mother of four children, ages 15, 13, 11, and 8. They all share the same home. She plants basic grains and raises barnyard fowl. They all contribute to this business, with a schedule from 7 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. Her business has been functioning for 5 years and was born from the need to have a better quality of life. Her advantage is that she works on her own land.

She will use the loan to buy compost, fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, concentrated feeds, vitamins, and chickens to fatten. This will help her improve the productivity of her crops, and she will have better profitability from her business.

Her dream is to keep working to pay off the debt, improve the lifestyle of her family, and offer her children opportunities to better themselves academically.
