A loan of $650 helped to purchase vegetables such as onions, squash, carrots, tomatoes and chickens and hens.

Sandra's story

Mrs. Sandra, a member of the BC Mujeres Activas, lives in the San Martín region, Bellavista province and district. She is 37 years old and lives with her husband who is a driver. She sells chickens and hens with their organs removed as well as vegetables in two stalls that are in the central market in the city.

With this loan of 2,000 soles ($650), which will be repaid in 6 months, she will buy vegetables such as onions, squash, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, among others, and also chickens and hens in order to slaughter and sell them in the market. She wants to have all that her customers need.

Sandra has 5 years working with the communal bank and believes that Manuela Ramos is a support for her and her family, as well as for other women entrepreneurs. She works hard every day because she wants to grow her business and later have a well-established storeroom.
