A loan of $500 helped to make bulk purchases of sugar, rice, tea, cooking oil, potato chips and other items for her grocery shop.

Previous's story

Previous is a 26-year-old married mother of two from the Guruve District of Zimbabwe. She serves as a peer educator in her community and a volunteer Camfed Learner Guide at the local secondary school. Previous and her husband have been operating a grocery shop for the past year. This is the family's only source of income. Previous sells sugar, rice, tea, cooking oil, potato chips, stationary and sanitary wear in her shop. With this Kiva loan, she would like to make bulk purchases of these items to reduce her costs and increase her profits and sales.
