Brenda's story

Brenda is a 19-year-old businesswoman residing in the Kwekwe District of Zimbabwe with her parents and siblings. She has been operating a flea market shop selling clothes for adults and children for the past year where she is assisted by family members. When she is not working at her shop she visits the elderly people and assists them with household tasks. Brenda is also busy volunteering to clean the local clinic. With the Kiva loan she will purchase high quality clothing, which will increase her sales and profits. With additional profits, Brenda hopes to own a boutique, create employment for the people in her community and meet the financial needs of her family.
