A loan of $2,000 helped to buy an iron and new sewing machine.

Bushra's story

Bushra is a 38-year-old widow and mother of two. (She has preferred to have her face blurred for cultural reasons.) After her husband’s death she no longer had a source of income to support her family.

Fortunately, Bushra had an old sewing machine. Her sewing skills earned her an excellent reputation in the neighborhood thanks to the quality of her work and affordable prices. She is now applying for a 2000 USD loan to buy an iron and new sewing machine to increase both her business and profits.

Bushra and her business are just one of the many examples of Izdiharona for Economic Development’s clients.
