Hoa's Group's story

Hoa is 50 years old and lives in Yen Phong, a beautiful district in Bac Ninh province. She has one child, who is studying at school. She and her husband have earned a living for the last 20 years by running a grocery store. Her monthly income is VND 8,000,000. Hoa has participated in the SEDA program since 2009, and has successfully repaid a loan for VND 10,528,000. This is her eighth loan requesting, and she is seeking to borrow 13,216,000 VND in order to buy more candies, biscuits, milk and sugar for her store. Hoa's goal is earn more money to improve her family's living standards and save money for the future.

Hoa is also the leader of a group that includes seven other SEDA members, who are included in the following list.

• Dung has a fruit shop. She is 32 years old and is requesting a loan of VND 13.216,000 to buy more fruit for her shop.
• Thu is 50 years old and would like to borrow VND 6,048,000 to buy chicks and poultry feed.
• Dua is 50 years old, earns a living by selling beverages and would like to borrow VND 13,216,000 to invest her business.
• Thao is 46 years old and is applying a 13,216,000 VND through SEDA to raise pigs.
• Vinh is 42 years old and would like to borrow VND 13,216,000 to raise chickens.
• Thuy is 36 years old and wants to borrow VND 9,632,000 to feed her poultry and pigs.
