A loan of $500 helped a member to buy charcoal.

Mahoukpehou Group's story

Mahoukpehou is a group of three people who live in the same neighborhood. The representative of this group is named Medeou Brigitte and she has her hand raised in the photo. This is the third time that this group is seeking financial support from Alide in order to expand their business. Medeou Brigitte is 44 years old and no longer lives with her husband. She has three children, who are all attending school and in her care. She lives alone with her children. Medeou Brigitte stopped her studies after primary school. In order to take care of the various needs of her children, she has been selling charcoal from her home for the past eight years. She stocks up at the market in Benin. In order to strengthen her business and to better respond to her customers' demand, Medeou Brigitte wishes to obtain another loan, together with the other members of the Mahoukpehou Group. Their previous loans have been fully repaid.
