Mahougnon Group's story

Mahougnon is a group made up of three people who live in the same district. The representative of this group, whose name is Béatrice, is the one with her hand raised in the photo. It is the second time that this group has requested financial aid from Alidé, with a view to expanding their businesses. Béatrice is 26 years old and married to a man called Abel. The couple has two children, who are both at school and in their care. Béatrice lives with her husband and children, and she and her husband cover the various household expenses between them. Béatrice left school at secondary level, and in order to provide for the various household needs, she has been selling lubricants in her area for the past ten years. She gets her supplies in a Benin market. With a view to boosting her activity and being able to meet customer demand more readily, Béatrice, together with the other members of the Mahougnon group, would like another loan. The previous loan was repaid in full.
