A loan of $8,500 helped a member to buy 180 pieces of "pagnes" (colorful West-African fabrics).

Générosité B Group's story

The borrower, Mbuyato, works in retail and she is a member of the «Générosité B » business group. She is 40 years old, married, and the mother of six children who all attend school. Mbuyato is also a dynamic entrepreneur who sells "pagnes" (colorful West-African fabrics). She displays her goods in a shop, in town, and she has been involved in this activity for the past five years. Mbuyato has already taken loans with the micro-finance institution Hekima. Her husband is a teacher. Thanks to this new loan, she will be able to buy 180 pieces of "pagnes". In the future, she would like to buy a plot of land, boost her business, feed her children and continue to send them to school. She is very thankful to Hekima for empowering women entrepreneurs excluded from the traditional banking system.
