A loan of $825 helped a member to buy dairy products and baked goods for her business.

Benediction Group's story

The BENEDICTION group is made up of three members, all of whom live in the same locality. Agbale Colette is the group's representative (she has her hand raised in the photo). She is 49 years old and married to Paul, who deals in secondhand goods. The couple have four children, all of whom went to school and one of whom is still their dependent. Agbale Colette lives with her husband and her one child who is still her dependent. The couple together provide for the various needs of their family. Agbale Colette did not go to school.

For almost 20 years Agbale Colette has worked selling dairy products and baked goods in a market in Benin. This work has permitted her to contribute to her family's household expenses. She buys her products in a market in Benin.

This is the second time Agbale Colette and the other members of the BENEDICTION group have requested a loan from Alidé. This loan will allow Agbale Colette to strengthen her business by buying dairy products and baked goods, and to better respond to the requests of her customers. The group's previous loan was repaid in full.
