Mahougnon Zogbo Group's story

Group Mahougnon Zogbo is a three-person group, whose members reside in the same town. The group’s representative, Blanche, is raising her hand in the photo. She is 37 years old and is married to a man named Narcisse. They have two dependent children, who both go to school. Blanche lives together with her husband and children. The couple provides for the household expenses together.

Blanche went to school up to middle school. Blanche has been selling food (rice and corn paste with sauce) in her region for almost six years. This business allows her to contribute to her family’s finances. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin. This is the sixth time that Blanche, together with the other members of group Mahougnon Zogbo, is requesting a loan from ALIDé. This financing will allow them to grow their businesses and better satisfy their clients. Previous loans were paid back without issues.
