A loan of $375 helped to buy tools for work (picks, rakes, spades, and machetes).

Jorge Luis's story

Jorge, 33, is an enterprising young man. He's single and lives alone in Ica.

He's a person with a great desire to get ahead. He has worked as an agricultural laborer on a farm for more than five years. It's going very well for him because he's very hardworking and responsible, and he always takes pains to do quality work.

Jorge's grateful to the Kiva lenders because with their support he'll be able to buy pitchforks, machetes, spades, picks, rakes, and other work tools so he can improve his performance and later get a raise.

That way he'll keep on working hard to improve his work and later be able to achieve one of his biggest goals: to have his own business.
