A loan of $375 helped to expand his yucca and banana crops and to plant corn.

Hugo Rusber's story

Hugo is an enterprising man. He is 27 years old and lives in Yarinacocha together with his family. He has two children who are his pride and his greatest motivation to get ahead in life. He has always made an effort to give them all the comforts and a better future. He studied for a technical degree as an electrician.

He currently works providing transportation services with his mototaxi and also plays his clarinet in an orchestra. He also owns a tract of farm land and has been growing a variety of products including bananas, vijao leaves, yucca, and pacay for more than ten years. It is going well because he is a responsible and hardworking person who sells products of excellent quality. Without a doubt, he is an example of life.

Hugo is grateful to the Kiva lenders for the support that they have provided so that he can expand his banana and yucca crops and innovate with his corn crops. This will allow him to earn more income and continue fighting to improve life for his family.
