A loan of $1,500 helped to buy dairy cows.

Virginia Flora's story

Virginia is 41 years old and single. She doesn't have any children. She dedicates her life to making and selling cheese. She lives in the community of Caluyo, which is a region known for its cattle rearing, as well as sheep, lama, and other species. The local weather is quite inhospitable: during the day the heat is intense in the sun, and at night under the starlight the cold reaches temperatures below zero.

Virginia works constantly as long as the day lasts, since daylight determines her work schedule. At night she lights a fire to keep warm. Life in the stable is very hard: long days of hard work and long nights in the cold, but these hardships are Virginia's way of life. Cheese making requires sacrifice and she needs to improve her business by buying dairy cows. The profit will allow her to improve her quality of life.

This is why Virginia is requesting a loan to buy dairy cows, and in turn improve her cheese output.
