A loan of $550 helped to buy supplies to feed her cattle and to improve her sales.

Juana's story

Juana is a hard-working 63-year-old married woman, who lives with her family in Palpa. For many years she has sold cheese at the market. Her business is a success because she is very hard-working, responsible, kind, and, above all, because she offers good-quality products at a fair price. She also has a small business selling livestock, and she rears cattle such as cows and sheep. She has a great desire to get ahead in life and always works hard and is dedicated to her work so that she can improve her family's quality of life. Juana is grateful to Kiva lenders because with their support she receives from them, she will be able to buy supplies to feed her livestock, so that when they are ready, she will be able to offer them for sale and receive additional income. She hopes to save this income so that, one day, she will be able to fulfill her dream of building her own house.
