Gbenonkpo Group's story

The Gbenomkpo group is made up of three people who live in the same neighborhood. This is the sixth time that the group has requested financial aid from ALIDé in order to raise their level of business. The representative of the group, named Alice, is the one with her hand raised in the photo. Alice is 56 years old and married to one Honoré. Alice barely attended school. She is the mother of five children, all of whom are educated and two of whom are in the care of the couple. Alice lives together with her children and her husband. The couple takes care of the household's needs together. To deal with her various responsibilities, Alice has sold various products (corn, beans, manioc flour, preserves) for some thirty years from her home. Alice stocks up in the market of Benin. In the quest of satisfying her clients and growing her sales and revenues, Alice, together with the other members of the Gbenomkpo group, is asking for a sixth loan from ALIDé. The previous loans were all properly paid back in full.
