A loan of $1,175 helped to purchase more tie dye, lace, and wax cotton to sell.

Mabinty's story

Mabinty is 47 years old and married, with two children. She runs a used clothing material business in Waterloo, a western, rural area in Freetown. She started business to be self-reliant.

She has been in this business for 25 years now and she sells different types of clothing material within a busy market area. Her business is the only source of income she has. She says that the main challenge to her business is insufficient capital.

Mabinty requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone Microfinance Company Limited to purchase more tie dye, lace, and wax cotton to sell. She says that the extra income from this loan will help her educate her children and increase her business.

In the future, she would like to expand her business more than ever.
