Maa Dhana Ragini Shg Group's story

Maa Dhana Ragini Self Help Group is a group consisting of nine members, all of whom are women. These entrepreneurs are very humble, hardworking and responsible people with good manners and lots of enthusiasm to improve their lives. A few years back, they all were facing the same kind of situation of poverty, so they planned to start general stores where they can provide the basic household consumables to their customers.

One of them is Lalita, who was selected as their president. In the picture, the lady standing with her hand raised is Lalita. Lalita is a 27-year-old lady living with her husband and her three children, two of whom are in school, and one of whom is only one year old. Her husband works as a laborer in a factory situated near her village. Lalita runs a general store to help her husband financially. She sells rice, grains, lentils, edible oil, spices, biscuits, soap, detergent, hair oil, etc. in her shop. She has developed a very good relationship with her customers in the village. She likes the fact that she can cater to the needs of the people in her village. She has a plan to make her shop bigger and keep multiple things in her shop to satisfy her customers. She also wants to purchase the items for her shop in bulk directly from the wholesalers, for which she has requested a loan for purchasing items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soft drinks, wheat flour, grains and other household consumables.
