Maa Santoshi Shg Group's story

Maa Santoshi Self Help Group consists of nine women from a village in Odisha. They formed a group to help themselves share their problems and solve their problems among themselves. Sukeshi was selected as president of Maa Santoshi Self Help Group. The members of the group are mostly engaged in dairy businesses. The lady siting first from left in the photo is Sukeshi. Sukeshi is 48 years old and is staying with her husband and her four children. She hopes to see her children as officers in a big company. She has a few cows and she sells milk in the village. Her husband supports her in this activity. Sukeshi and her group members have requested a loan of 135,000 INR. Her portion will help her to purchase a cow, repair her cowshed and cover operational expenses like food and fodder for the cows.
