A loan of $3,000 helped a member to purchase more cows and repair her cattle shed.

Maa Samaleswari Shg Group's story

Banita is a 54-year-old lady living with her husband and three children. She owns and manages a dairy farm, where she has a few cows and buffaloes. She sells five litres of milk per day and earns 3,000 Indian rupees (INR) per month. Her monthly income is very small for a family of four persons.

She wants to purchase two Jersey cows for her farm, as demand for cow's milk is more in her village. She also has a plan to repair the shed for her cattle and make it big.

Banita, along with her group members, has requested a loan of 180,000 INR. She will use her portion of the loan for purchasing two cows and renovating the shed.

In the future, she wants to increase her farm and sell more milk products like yogurt, butter, etc. She has a dream to give a quality life to her family and save some money for her children's future.

All the members of this group are engaged in dairy businesses.
