A loan of $475 helped to buy clothing for children as well as for adults like underwear, shirts and pants.

Maria Teodora's story

"Each day is a new opportunity to continue to progress in life" assures María Teodora, a woman who every morning after having her hot coffee heads to the main streets of her community to offer children's and adult's clothing for sale.

She is 59 years old, married and has 4 children all of them adult and independent. Fifteen years ago with the idea of helping support the family economy she decided to establish her small business, with which little by little she has been able to progress. Together with her husband she strives to improve their living conditions.

María is requesting a second loan to increase the productivity of her capital. She needs to buy clothing for children as well as adults from underwear to shirts and pants. She says that she is grateful for the first loan from Kiva through MiCrédito. She managed to gain a larger clientele with it and at the same time made good money. She is a humble woman and hard-working. Her goal is to continue to prosper and enjoy a secure and quiet future.
