A loan helped to pay for her children’s education and family maintenance.

Xalida's story

Xalida is a 57-year-old married woman with three children. Her main source of income is agriculture (gardening). Xalida grows fruit trees (pear, peach, apple, pomegranate, cherry and so on) and sells the fruit at the local bazaar. She has 30 years of experience in gardening and gets 120 AZN for this.

In Azerbaijan, the demand for fruit is very high. During the whole year, people buy fruit for everyday use. They eat fruit fresh or prepare them in different tasty and sweet things.

This is Xalida's first loan, and it is for 1,500 AZN. Unfortunately, her income from gardening and her pension isn’t enough to cover life's demands. That’s why she needs more money. Xalida plans to use this money for her children’s education and for family maintenance.
