Pius is a long-time client, aged 45 years, who lives in Ntungamo municipality. He is married man with 4 children. He has applied for a loan of 3,000,000 UGX to buy mulch to help improve the status of his banana plantations. He has a challenge of little income from his plantations. Although he has many clients in the area who buy matooke (cooking bananas), his output is small. Therefore, he wants to use the loan to buy manure and standardize his agricultural output to a level that will give him good yields and money as this will help him to educate his children in better schools.
