Om Fuad Group's story

This group is called Om Fuad. It consists of four women who live in Sana'a, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 95,000 YER from AMB.

Samira is the leader of the group. She is a 39-year-old married woman with four children. They live in their own house in Sana'a. She is an uneducated woman and works as a housewife. Her husband is the sole breadwinner in the house.

Samira doesn’t have a water tank to keep water on the roof of her house. The house needs one tank to keep the water. For this reason, Samira applied for a loan of 30,000 YER from AMB to purchase a water tank in order to keep a large amount of water for the house.

Samira looks forward to building a second floor of her house and renting it in order to earn a good amount of money.
