A loan of $425 helped to buy plantains, potatoes and condiments, among other things.

Esmeralda's story

Every morning after getting her children ready for school, Esmeralda begins to fry plantain slices and potatoes that she later sells outside her humble home. Nobody can resist the delicious snacks that she sells. She is 44 years old, has a common law partner and has four children. Before starting to sell snacks, she sold beauty products, but she wanted to spend more time with her children and decided to start another business at home.

She is requesting this loan to increase her production. She needs to buy plantains, potatoes, and condiments, among other things. At the same time, she wants to begin improving her kitchen. Esmeralda puts her hopes in this loan, as she wishes to gain more customers to increase her income. She is a charismatic and hard working woman who has great goals. One of them is having a vegetable stand in one of the popular markets. Her life partner has been her main supporter -- they strive together to be able to provide a prosperous future to their children.
