Monica's story

Señora Mónica Rodríguez Q. is 33 years old. She belongs to the Community Bank Mujeres Emprendedoras II (Hardworking Women II). She is the secretary and she lives in the street Desamparados 701 in the region of Buenos Aires Norte, in the district of Victor Larco, in the province of Trujillo La Libertad Perú.

Mónica did not have any parental help with her education, but thanks to her determination and dedication she finished her secondary studies at the Nocturna, working during the day in order to be able to carry on. She has two daughters and one son. One daughter and her son depend on her entirely.

She began her business making desserts and fried potatoes, and thanks to Manuela Ramos grew her business. She was able to buy materials to make necklaces, earrings, and frozen desserts. She is so hardworking that currently she is also doing hair styling, doing hair and cuts. Her business is located in her home.

With her first loan of 300 soles that she repaid in 4 instalments, she completed the purchase of her refrigerator and was able to have shaved ice, gelato, frozen cake, etc.

With this loan of 800 soles that she would repay in 6 installments, she would buy little tables and a mirror for the ambiance of her location.
