A loan of $1,075 helped to buy buy toiletries and pottery.

Dilia's story

Dilia, 32, lives in a municipality in the Barranquilla Metropolitan Area. She has a corner shop where she sells household items, women’s accessories and stationary items, among other things.

She has been doing this since 2012, when she moved to a new neighborhood and observed the people there needed to buy this varied items, so she decided to undertake this commercial activity, using the few savings she had. She sells on credit and for cash, Monday through Sunday, from 8A.M. to 7P.M., and pays her providers in cash.

Her goal is to expand her business and move it to a more comfortable shop. Although her biggest challenge is to find enough resources, today she went to the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, to apply for a credikiva. This is the first loan she has requested, which she will use to buy toiletries and pottery. Thanks to this, she will expand her catalogue and contribute to increasing sales and improving her benefits with this investment.
