A loan of $500 helped a member buy food products and vegetables.

Oboube Group's story

Odoube is a group of three people, whose members belong to the same church. The representative for the group, Colette (whose hand is raised in the photo), is 54 years old.

Colette is married to Oscar and is a mother of five children, all in school. Among the children, two are under the care of the couple. Colette lives with her husband and children, and the couple deal together with all the household needs. Colette did not attend school.

To meet her needs, Colette has been running a business for the past twelve years selling food products and vegetables in her neighborhood. Secondarily, Colette also sells donuts. She buys her products in one of Benin's markets.

To expand her business and become more competitive in the marketplace, Colette wants to increase the stock of her products; which will enable her to increase her turnover and income.

For this reason Colette is requesting a third loan from ALIDé, together with the other members of the Odoube group.

In this group: Colette, Josée Yaya, Sèlomé Thérèse
