A loan of $1,450 helped to purchase an oven for her food sales business.

Mirella Yvone's story

Mirella is a young entrepreneur. She is 34 years old, a single mother, and lives in Ica with her family.

She has 2 marvelous children who are her greatest pride and for whom she has always fought to offer a better future.

For the past 8 years, she has worked selling foods such as causa (a traditional Peruvian potato-based dish), cakes and papa a la huancaína (a traditional Peruvian potato salad with a creamy, spicy sauce). It is going very well for her because she is very responsible, hard-working, and friendly and because she always offers her quality products at an accessible price.

Mirella is very grateful to the Kiva lenders because with the support that they have offered her, she will be able to purchase an oven and, in this way, be able to improve the quality of her products and increase her sales. With this, she will have increased income that can be used to improve her business and to be able to realize her big dream - to be a prosperous businesswoman.
