A loan of $275 helped invest in merchandise that will later be sold: home cleaning products.

Rosa's story

Mrs Rosa, who is 33 years old, runs a family business selling home cleaning products. The job is highly demanding but provides the family’s means of support, which includes her 2 youngest sons, 1 of whom is about to start school and the other of whom is already studying. She also lives with her husband and father. Mrs Rosa is aware of the highly competitive nature of the field in which she works and of the importance in investing in large amounts of merchandise with the aim of reducing costs and increasing profits. In doing this, she anticipates a more respectable and prosperous quality of life for her family and 2 younger children who are her greatest concern and adoration. If Mrs Rosa is to increase her profits, which she intends to achieve by investing a substantial amount of money into buying merchandise, she will need a loan of 800 soles.
