A loan of $250 helped to buy tires and tarp for his mototaxi.

Mauricio Antonio's story

Mauricio Antonio hails from the town of El Sauce. A young man of 32 years of age, he is single and lives with his mother. He has endured many a hardship, since his family is poor and, to help his mother, he had to emigrate to Guatemala to find work and save money to buy a tricycle taxi, which he used to provide transportation services to the people of the town and thus support his household. Maurice's lot in life, and his economic opportunities, were much improved by a loan that enabled him to buy a mototaxi. He keeps providing transportation services in his town, but can now also bring fares to various remote villages sorely in want of a regular bus service. Mauricio needs a loan to buy tires as well as tarp for his vehicle in order to improve it and thus provide a better service to his customers, since the rainy season is rearing its head. He puts his hopes and his trust in God that Kiva lenders, through Ceprodel, grant him the money he needs to invest in his business.
