A loan of $1,500 helped purchase textbooks, a computer and pay for transportation costs.

Jannet Jesica's story

Jannet is a young college student. She is 21 years old, single and does not have children. She is studying business administration in a major university in San Andrés. She spends her spare time taking carer of her family's grocery store. Jannet is a very committed student and always represented her school in the math olympics. She says that she always received awards for her academic excellence, and one time she reached the finals of the math olympics and finished in third place. Her family and her brothers live off of the earnings they generate from their grocery store. She is the first in her family to attend college. Her expenses are now greater since she must purchase books, study materials, make photocopies and spend a lot of money on her daily transportation. Her dream is to have a better salary to cover her housing expenses and to be able to study for another degree. For these reasons, Jannet is seeking a loan to purchase textbooks, a computer and to pay for transportation costs.
