A loan of $825 helped a member to purchase fruit.

Marie Thérèse's Group's story

This group is composed of five persons, who reside in the same district. The group’s representative, Marie Thérèse (with a hand raised in the photo), is 39 years old and married to a driver named Jérôme. The couple have four children, not all in school but all in their care. She lives together with her children and husband and jointly ensures with him that the different household expenses are covered.

For nearly fifteen years, Marie Thérèse has been selling fruit in her district. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

This is the second time that Marie Thérèse and the other members of her group have requested financial support from ALIDé with the aim of bolstering their working capital and their businesses, as well as responding better to the requirements of their customers. The first loan received was indeed paid back.
