A loan of $1,150 helped to pay for more sacks of rice needed in his business.

Jorge's story

Jorge owns and operates a rice retailing/wholesale business to earn a living. He has been successful in this business for seven years, and he repaid his previous loan used for the business. He also finds ways to improve his profit by generating income from his small variety store and house rental business. Relative to this, he would like to take a new loan to increase his product inventory. He is requesting an amount of PHP 50,000 to buy more sacks of rice and other products needed in his business. In the future, he desires to be successful in business and in life, and he also hopes for good health for his family. He meets up with his co-fellowship* members to share stories of his work every week and there, he can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God he studies. * All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay micro-finance loans.
