A loan of $500 helped to buy more chicks and chick feed.

Noreen's story

Noreen is a 22-year-old businesswoman, living in a rural village of Gokwe South, Zimbabwe. She serves as a Leaner Guide at a local school where she teaches life skills education.

Noreen takes pride in her business, selling poultry to local customers. She has been successfully operating the business for 13 months and produces batches of 40 birds every six weeks.

With the requested Kiva loan, Noreen will buy more chicks and chick feed to improve production. Noreen hopes to expand her business into a large-scale poultry production in order to become a major supplier of chickens and chicken products in her community.
