Forty-five-year-old Johnson sells a local brew (waragi) in Hoima, Uganda. He is married and charged with the responsibility of taking care of nine children, all of whom go to school. His business is supplemented by farming and a produce business. He hopes to to invest the surplus in home development. Transportation hinders provision of his delivery service to clients, thus reduces sales. He is acquiring a loan to buy more of the local brew (waragi) to sell.

Johnson is a member of Kasozi Village Bank, where members guarantee each other to access a loan.
