He must travel five kilometers on a bicycle in order to reach the plot of land where he works. His schedule is from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Afterwards, he returns home in order to help with the household chores.

The money he is requesting will be used for planting corn, so he will be able to buy the necessary supplies. Teodoro dreams of providing the best possible education for his children so that they can have better opportunities in life. He also wants to improve the condition of his house since it is in a very bad shape.

Teodoro de 67 años de edad tuvo la oportunidad de estudiar hasta 8º grado, sus padres si creían en que el estudio le podía servir de mucho en la vida, está casado y su esposa le ayuda en el trabajo de la agricultura, tiene 6 hijos de los cuales solo 1 vive con ellos por lo cual son 2 personas las que dependen de él.

Teodoro se dedica a trabajar en la agricultura, actividad que ha realizado desde que era muy pequeño pues se lo enseñaron sus padres, viaja 5 kilómetros en bicicleta para poder llegar hasta donde tiene su terreno en el cual trabaja, y lo hace en un horario de 7:00AM a 4:PM luego regresa a su casa a colaborar con las actividades del hogar.

El dinero del préstamo será utilizado para sembrar maíz, comprará los insumos necesarios.

Él sueña con brindar los mejores estudios posibles a sus hijos para que tenga mejores oportunidades en la vida, y poder mejorar la condición de su casa que esta en muy mal estado.

This loan is part of a CrediCampo project to help rural farmers living in extreme poverty plant basic grains to feed their families. Excess product is sold on the local market. These loans are smaller than the typical loans offered by this field partner, and guarantee requirements are also reduced. Individuals who receive this type of loan also get access to technical assistance, information on good environmental practices and increased access to farm inputs like fertilizer. This is considered a high risk loan due to the population and loan purpose, and CrediCampo is one of the very few institutions in El Salvador willing to working with these farmers.
