A loan of $500 helped to stock her bookstore to meet the needs of her clients.

Katerin's story

Katerin is 20 years old. She is a native of the city of Juliaca. She is single and lives in the house of some relatives. Since she finished high school and did not have opportunities to continue with higher education, she decided to work. Therefore, four years ago she set up a book store, where she offers folders, pens, books, etc. The business is going well, precisely because of the dedication Katerin gives it, opening from 8 in the morning and staying until 9 or 10 in the evening to be able to earn the income she wants. The hardest part for her is to have to spend all day tending to her business, since she has to put off other activities. But in spite of this small inconvenience, she likes her work because it is laid-back and allows her to earn enough for her basic needs. Katerin wants to be an independent woman who does not need anyone to be happy and achieve all of her goals. With the money from the loan, she will stock her book store, and therefore meet the preferences of the clients, so that in the future she can make her store the biggest and satisfy the needs of everyone.
