A loan of $2,000 helped to buy new sewing machines and bulk leathers to make sandals.

Alix's story

ACFU is a shoe making business that came about three years ago when three brothers wanted to launch a shop. Alix, assisted by his two brothers, started giving training to young adults in their area after the earthquake since he did not have enough means to launch a business. Alix’s shop became operational in 2011. The business has made significant progress, but today lacks the investment in equipment needed to thrive. This loan will help with the sewing machines and materials.
