A loan of $300 helped to purchase more onions, cooking oil and Maggi to expand her business.

Ramatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 30-year-old Ramatu from Torkpoi town Bo, Southern area. She is married with three children. She began her business because she wanted to contribute in the home.

Ramatu runs a food stand business, selling onions, cooking oil and Maggi (flavor cubes). She has been running this business for some years. She works at the business from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, 6 days per week. Ramatu says that the main challenge to her business is transportation problems.

Ramatu has requested a loan in order to purchase more onions, cooking oil and Maggi to expand her business. The extra income from this loan will allow her to improve her family status and repay her loan. In the future, she plans to open a big food store. She thanks you for your support!
