A loan of $800 helped to buy three pigs that a neighbor will sell to him.

Juan Antonio's story

Juan is 32 years old. He went to school through 5th grade. He was not able to continue his studies due to the economic situation of his family and because of the armed conflict that the country was experiencing at that time. He is married and his partner does the domestic work. He has three children, of whom only two are in school. His wife and his children are the only ones who depend on him.

Juan works as an employee in a military detachment. It has been 15 years since he entered this institution to give military service, executing the office of corporal, which is a military rank. He decided to enter the armed forces since when he was little, he saw movies that had to do with the sovereignty of the nation, and so it was that one day he tried his luck, and with the passing of time he reached a better rank, which has given him job stability.

He needs the loan to buy three pigs that a neighbor will sell him. He will fatten them and then sell them at a better price. The loan will be very useful to him at this time, since he doesn't want to lose the business opportunity, because in the future this will bring him earnings with which he can improve his quality of life.

His dream is to buy a parcel of land that they are selling near his house with the goal that his children will be the ones who inherit this property, so that they won't have to rent when they are grown up.
