A loan of $675 helped to improve the infrastructure of her stable and purchase guinea pigs for breding.

Roselfina's story

Roselfina is 28-years old and lives with her husband and 3 children. She works each day to care for her children and also works the farmland. She is an emerging livestock and agricultural farmer. She has cows which every morning, without exception, she cares for and ensures they are fed. For what they can sell there is considerable profit, but it also requires an extensive amount of effort. A day can draw about 10 to 12 litres of milk that can be sold.

Roselfina also tends to the alfalfa pastures, which is indispensable as it provides feed for the livestock of the farm. In addition to this, she also raises guinea pigs. Roselfina works daily with the motivation for the welfare of her family.

These borrowed funds would be put towards building an extension of the roof for the house that would act as a stable for her cows. Also, she will purchase a shed for her guinea pigs as well as a stud guinea pig for breeding purposes.
