Delfer's story

Delfer, 30 lives in his own home, which is made of rudimentary materials. He lives with his wife and his 8 year-old son, who attends the local public elementary school in the Mangaypa settlement in a rural area of the Pomahuaca district. In this community the residents work in farming, commerce, and animal husbandry. It is located in Jaen province in the Cajamarca region of the northern highlands of Peru.

Delfer is a farmer who cultivates coffee. His wife helps him with this work by cooking food for the farmworkers who maintain the coffee crops. He is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa for 2,000 Peruvian soles to buy pesticides and fertilizers to maintain his coffee crops so that he can increase his production.
