Ana Marita's story

Ana Marita is 40 years old and is in a common-law relationship. She lives in her own house with her husband and children in the district of Zaña, located in the Province of Chiclayo, belonging to the Lambayeque Region on the North Coast of Peru. The people in this valley of the Jequetepeque river work in agriculture, commerce and raise cattle.

She works selling snow cones in the morning and in the afternoon she prepares champu (a traditional dessert), cachangas (a fried bread) and oats. Her business is located in the door of her house and she is known in the neighborhood for her work. She is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa for 2500PEN to buy a cow that will permit her to generate more income selling milk and cheese.
