Nonvignon 1 Group's story

The NONVIGNON 1 group consists of 26 members who all live in the same neighborhood. The group's representative, named Louise (raising her hand in the photo) is 41 years old and married to a man named Koffi. Louise and Koffi have seven children who all go to school. Four of their children are their dependents. Louise and her husband live with their children and jointly take care of the household's various expenses. In order to cover her children's needs, Louise has been selling various goods such as sugar, milk and soap for the past fifteen years or so. She sells from home and through the distribution system. In addition to this activity, Louise also sells knitted clothing. She buys her goods at a market in Benin. In order to increase her business and to be more competitive on the market, Louise would like to increase her stock of merchandise, which will allow her to boost her turnover and income. For this reason, she is requesting a second loan from ALIDé, along with the other members of the NONVIGNON 1 group. Their previous loan was duly repaid.
