A loan of $475 helped to pay for spare parts and for the maintenance of her van.

Valentina's story

This is Valentina, 39, resident of Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. Her partner is Remmel, a worker abroad, and she is a mother to her child. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Valentina operates a van rental business. She has 1 van that they offer to be rented for transportation service or for people who need a van for out of town service. They provide their services within the city & nearby provinces. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of 500 Philippine Pesos (PHP) in sales every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 20,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy spare parts and pay for the maintenance of her van.

Valentina dreams to have more van units and hopes to give her child a good education. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
