Mary B. has been renting out a Play Station video game console in the Mikunguni neighborhood of Zanzibar for three years. She allows people to pay to play the games from 9:00am to 3:00pm every day and earns a profit of approximately $340 each month. She has previously taken out one loan from BRAC Tanzania which she repaid successfully and on time. She is requesting her second loan so that she can buy an additional game for the Play Station game console.

Mary is 36 years old, married, and has one 12-year-old child. She will be sharing this loan with her fellow group member, Rukia, who also has her own small business in Zanzibar.
